Being part of an international crew aboard a 5-star cruise ship always sounded exciting to me, although I never imagined I would get to experience it so soon.
In December 2019 we left the harbour for a journey that would become one of my biggest adventures. I was lucky to become the resident DJ on the ”Empress of the Seas”, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, for almost seven months in a row.
It was a great experience to serve as the master of ceremonies in various lounges and night clubs on several decks of the ship. I got the privilege to travel the world and meet people from many different countries.
We visited spectacular places like Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Bahamas and many more. Every trip was one of a kind and I even had enough time to explore some special places. Every trip brought me to a new culture, so I used the opportunity to do excursions and check local attractions. From ziplining in Haiti, hot-air ballooning and enjoying waterslides at the Bahamas to exploring the Lost Mayan Kingdom in Mexico and strolling around the Caribbean Islands by bike and SUV, it was one crazy journey.
After months of cruising the situation changed in March 2020 due to an unprecedented worldwide pandemic and I got to entertain the crew aboard during international repatriation efforts.
Cruising the Caribbean Sea was an unforgettable experience for me, with a lot of fun, the hottest pool parties and club nights under a sky full of stars at the middle of the endless ocean.
